Job Summary

Job Summary: 
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Finance Director and the City Manager.  Coordinates the day-to-day activities to achieve productivity and performs a full range of analytical and accounting functions of moderate difficulty.  Performs related work as required.

Essential Job Functions: 
Supervises the accounts payable technician. Reviews and monitors daily cash processes.  Analyzes, verifies, and posts daily cash deposits and transactions. Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation for all city accounts.  Compiles and analyzes financial information used to prepare accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports.  Prepares, reviews, and posts journal entries.  Reconciles various general ledger accounts and resolves discrepancies or errors. Compile, calculate and analyze financial information to be used during the budget process and annual audit. Assists the Finance Director in preparation of budget review materials, reports, and documents. Assists the Finance Director in compiling information for the annual audit and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.  Handles tracking of hotel/motel occupancy tax and franchise fees. Performs data entry to the fixed asset module of the finance system for additions, deletions, and changes.  Reconciles fixed asset module of finance system to the general ledger. Assists with monitoring the procurement process by answering questions from staff and reviewing weekly accounts payable checks. Annual review and write off of utility billing receivable accounts by reviewing and analyzing accounts with credit and delinquent balances.  Annual reporting and remittance of unclaimed property including review of uncashed checks, research payee documentation, and draft correspondence to payees. Administrator for purchase card program. Responsible for opening and closing accounts, adding account codes, and creating monthly report for all purchases made by cardholders.

Other Job Functions:
Assist with recommendation of hiring for general office personnel.  Acts as backup for accounts payable.  Position requires long periods of sitting and frequent getting up and down out of chair.  Must be able to lift heavy boxes weighing up to 55 pounds.  Performs other tasks and duties as assigned. 

Required Education, Degrees, Certificates, and/or License:

Job Summary

Purpose of the Camp:  Saginaw Recreation’s philosophy is based on fitness and recreation excellence and is evident in all of our youth programs.  Our camps will be unique, fun and we offer a safe program for all children.  The activities we offered at camp will include P.E. games, dance classes, Tae Kwon Do classes, cooking classes, art classes, field trips, and much more.  We will provide fun, skill and character development, while the kids experience tons of fun.  We understand the importance of offering quality child programs at a low cost.
