Financial Transparency

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts created the Transparency Stars program to recognize local governments who are making strides to greater government transparency by providing readily accessible financial information. The information is to give the citizens a clear view of how the City’s funds are used and are going towards making the City of Saginaw a great place to reside or visit. Local governments have the opportunity to earn stars for traditional finances, contracts and procurement, economic development, public pensions and debt obligations. More information regarding the program is on the Comptroller’s Transparency Stars website
