Drainage

The Drainage Department is responsible for maintaining the city's storm water drainage system, which includes cleaning of inlets, grading and cleaning of drainage channels and ditches. The system comprises of approximately 12 miles of drainage channels, which are essentially creeks and ditches, and over 650 storm drain inlets that connect the drainage system.

In addition, the department operates a street sweeper to clean every street within the city limits at least once a year.  Some areas require more frequent cleaning.
