Garbage & Recycling Franchise:
The City of Saginaw contracts with Waste Connections for residential and commercial trash collection and residential curbside recycling. For more information about the company please visit their website or call them at 817-222-2221.

Garbage & Recycling Pickup
Garage Collection is every Monday and Thursday. Depending on your address, recyclables are picked up on Monday or Thursdays.

There is not Trash pick up on the following holidays:

New Years Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

Bulk Trash Pickup

Waste Connections picks up bulky brush and tree limbs twice a year, on the first week of April and October.

The City of Saginaw's next Free Bulk collection begins Monday, April 1, 2024 and ends April 5, 2024. Items and Brush at curb is not required to be bundled during this free collection week.

Please take advantage of bulk collection week to remove dead or overgrown trees or shrubs and to trim trees that may overhang the roadway. Trees overhanging the roadway are required to have a minimum clearance of 14’ from street grade. Please trim and maintain trees that may overhang the roadway, obstruct traffic signs or, obstruct view of traffic.

Please consider when and where your brush is placed for collection:

Please place brush piles at curb no earlier than the Friday before.
BRUSH MUST BE AT THE CURB BY 7:00am on first Monday of the first week in April/October
Place brush fully at the curb, and not in the street, on the sidewalk or behind the sidewalk.
Avoid placing brush under low hanging wires, guy wires, near utility poles or mailboxes

Again, the next pick-up will begin the first week of October 2024.
